Our long-standing customer HILTI receives title of honor

The Hilti design team, a group of professionals for branding, marketing, packaging and product development composed under the direction of Chief Designer Stephan Niehaus, which defines and manages the corporate design and the entire group appearance in product design, received the "RedDot: Design Team of the Year 2010" award on 5 July 2010.

It is the highest award in the industry which is reserved for design teams that are characterized by continuous and innovative design work. The title of honor to which one can not apply, will be awarded to each team only once in a lifetime!

PROFORM DESIGN as executive design agency stood on the stage of the Alto-Theater in Essen. Thus, the results of the now 20-year collaboration between Hilti and Proform design were appreciated.

According to the judgment of the jury, Hilti succeeded in recent years with excellent products, building up high design strength and continuity in design quality, while distigishing from the competition as well as keeping the corporate identity in perfect balance at the same time. "The Hilti design is so good because it promises exactly what the device also holds," said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the Red Dot Awards.

The Hilti cordless reciprocating saw WSR 22-A is equipped for metal separations of any kind. Thanks to the powerful lithium-ion technology it makes much more cuts per battery charge than other reciprocating saws. A sophisticated vertical transmission and the suspension pressure shoe provide for very low vibration levels and high operating comfort. Due to light weight and compact dimensions, the Hilti WSR 22-A is optimal to handle. Additional user safety is guaranteed by an instant electronic brake - the machine stops when the power button is released. The saw is part of a comprehensive platform with a single 22V battery and a charger for all devices.

The petrol-powered cutter Hilti DSH DSH 700 and 900 cut off many building materials such as concrete, brick, asphalt and steel. Despite catalyst, the newly developed two-stroke engine ensures tremendous pulling power for a constant high cutting efficiency. In the maintenance-free cyclone filter only precleaned air is sucked in, which eliminates the need to change the filter on the site. The handles and most of the housing parts are vibration-damped. The handles allow the user not only to hold the device comfortable and safe, but also close to the body. This user benefit supports the design emphasizing strength and robustness combined with very compact dimensions.

The Hilti bolt tube ST-SG 5.5 is designed for simplified set of long bolts sandwich panel façade elements in modern development. And it allows you to set screws with one hand without difficulty. The risk that the screw tip scratched the surface of the sensitive element is almost impossible. Dell formations in the elements can be avoided by adjusting the setting depth. These two advantages the productivity is significantly increased. Together with the wrench ST 1800, the special screws screw insert the CD and S-S-NSD8 is offered to the users as an ideally matched system.

The handy Hilti Drywall SD 5000-A22, which is suitable for attaching dry walls and ceilings on metal stud frame and wooden structures, was developed as part of the user from scratch and is a huge market innovation dar.
